UK General Election Now Petition

We tuned in to David Cameron's launch of the Conservative Party's European election campaign, and were particularly struck by his message to the UK public:

"I think there is now only one way of sorting out the mess and that is for Parliament to be dissolved and for there to be an immediate general election. The political crisis has been caused by politicians, so I don't think the politicians alone can solve it. The public must be involved."

Mr Cameron urged party members to collect signatures from UK voters irrespective of party affiliation who all want one thing: change. He suggested that the only way to achieve this change is to sign a petition calling on Gordon Brown to call a general election as soon as possible after the European elections on June 4th.

We have set up this online petition for exactly this purpose. We urge you, regardless of your party sympathies, to sign it and show the government that what the British public want is clear change. Enough is enough.
